Welcome to NWASACThe NWASAC was formed in 1974; it is an organisation of N.W. Sea Angling clubs and personal members.. Membership is open to any Sea Angling Club or individual angler from, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Manchester and North Wales etc. The official Objectives are: - To further the interests of Sea Anglers in the N.W. region including the preservation of fish stocks and fighting pollution.
- To formalise rules to govern sea angling in the best interests of member clubs within the association.
- To promote festivals, competitions and social functions for anglers in the N.W.
- An annually elected Committee of officers together with delegates from member clubs manages the association.
The association meets on the first Monday of every month. All officers are voluntary, unpaid and contribute their time freely. In some instances this can be considerable. We are keen to recruit new member clubs. Membership has been static for some years and we acknowledge the need for some new blood into the organisation. On the competition front we organise boat winter and summer shore leagues for both teams and individuals to which personal members are welcome in addition to their own individual leagues. we also have an annual boat competition, currently limited to small boat owners. The association sponsors the competitions financially. We encourage anglers to submit specimen claims for good specimen fish caught both from North West waters and elsewhere in the UK and Ireland.
